About the speaker
Dr. Alex Lin is an experienced technology investor, entrepreneur and ecosystem builder who has spent over a decade developing startups, mentoring founders and investing in technology companies across Asia.
As Head of Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd, he led strategic investments to strengthen Singapore’s infocomm startup ecosystem. He has also worked closely with universities, incubators and entrepreneurship programmes to support founders from ideation through growth.
Earlier in his career, Alex served as CTO and Senior Vice President of Operations & Technology at SembCorp Logistics, and held senior leadership roles at FedEx and Hewlett Packard. He also founded Asia’s first wireless ISP and built several technology ventures across Singapore, China and Indonesia.
Beyond investing and operating, Alex is active in Singapore’s entrepreneurship community, including through Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE), where he has supported grant reviews and startup development.
He holds an Electrical & Computer Engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a Doctorate from Stanford University.
